About Us

History

COINUT (Coins U Trust) was founded in 2013, establishing our roots as Singapore's longest-running digital asset business. From the outset, we prioritized trust, transparency, and operational reliability, reaching 500,000 users by 2019 as we built a resilient foundation for long-term growth.

In 2020, we made a pivotal strategic commitment to global governance, initiating formal license applications in Singapore (SG) and Canada (CA). By 2021, platform adoption accelerated, and we successfully served over 1 million users worldwide.

Our compliance-first approach deepened in 2022 with a license application in Switzerland (CH), expanding our regulated footprint across key financial jurisdictions. In 2024, COINUT officially became profitable, marking a major milestone in our disciplined, long-term strategy.

In 2025, we secured our Money Services Business (MSB) license, reinforcing our regulatory presence in the United States and unlocking new institutional partnerships. That same year, we launched 24/7 global operations, ensuring seamless access to fiat–crypto services across time zones and markets. Our income has doubled year-on-year, reflecting strong demand, operational efficiency, and growing trust in our platform.

Today, COINUT stands as a profitable, globally regulated financial entity, trusted by over 1.6 million users and maintaining licenses across Singapore, Canada, Switzerland, and the USA.

Xinxi Wang

CEO & Co-Founder

Xinxi Wang is a visionary entrepreneur and technologist who turned curiosity into creation. While pursuing his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the National University of Singapore, he was inspired by the tremendous potential of Bitcoin and founded Coinut Pte Ltd in 2013, Singapore's longest-running crypto business.

Before that, Xinxi made his first fortune in the forex market through quantitative trading and later became deeply involved in blockchain development. In 2017, he co-founded the Litecoin Foundation with Litecoin creator Charlie Lee, helping to advance global awareness and adoption of one of the world's most enduring cryptocurrencies.

Based in Singapore, Xinxi continues to explore the world, guided by a passion for innovation, freedom, and the seamless flow of value across borders.

Jingli Cai

CTO & Co-Founder

With over 10 years of full-stack development experience, Jingli leads COINUT's technology strategy, system architecture, and information security initiatives, ensuring platform reliability and compliance with financial and data protection standards.

Jingli has expertise in automation, information extraction and retrieval, and building secure, scalable web and mobile systems. He has extensive experience implementing controls aligned with the PDPA, PSA, and ISO/IEC 27001, embedding these requirements into COINUT's engineering and compliance processes to protect customer data and maintain regulatory readiness.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from East China Normal University and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore (NUS).
